Here we are, finding ourselves once again in the Thanksgiving season. This is the time of year when, just like Mother Nature, we turn our energies inward and are a little more contemplative about our lives. Not only do we think about the things that we are grateful for, but the time of year naturally feels more spiritual somehow; the veil between the worlds feels more transparent and for many people it’s a good time to get a psychic reading or tarot reading. It’s time to recharge our personal psychic energies, having completed one more turn around the wheel of life, hopefully more empowered and in tune with the cosmic forces of the planet and the universe than we were before.
As always, it’s about our journeys through life as spiritual beings. As the old axiom goes, “we are not humans having spiritual experiences, we are spirits having human experiences.” And the objective of this journey is to grow and evolve our consciousness, and we do this by taking lessons from our human experiences. One of the most important spiritual principles we are here to learn (and all religious teachings affirm this) is gratitude.
Gratitude is directly connected to our ability to manifest the things we want and need in our lives. When we express gratitude for everything we have, regardless of how little that may be compared to other people, we affirm a sense of abundance. It is a positively charged psychic space. Our energy is open and flowing, and we are naturally attuned to attract more of that energy toward us; this is the law of attraction and it is also the nature of manifestation. We manifest that which we focus our attention on the most. It’s not so much that we “create our reality” (although many would say that we do); it’s more that our lives are a reflection of our thought patterns, which is why it’s so important that we are conscious about what those thought patterns are.
Remember to wake up every day and go to bed every night with gratitude in your mind and in your heart, no matter how bad things may seem in your life. Use this as your mantra and see how your life will change.
