1st off, Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!!! I thought it may be fun to list some fun facts about our romantic day today. Valentine’s Day is February 14th and dates back to the Roman Empire during the reign of Claudius II, 270 A.D. During wartime Claudius did not want men to marry because he believed that single men made better soldiers, Bishop Valentine did not agree. He went behind Claudius’s back and preformed ‘Secret Wedding Ceremonies’, Valentine was sent to jail for this and executed by the Emperor on February 14th. While in jail he wrote a love letter to the daughter of the jailor signing it, “From you Valentine” giving us Valentine’s Day on every February 14th!

Love Spells

love

Valentine’s Day is this week so I thought why not spend the week talking about Love Spells? Everyone is making reservations, buying chocolate and champagne, booking hotel rooms, and even buying some new lingerie for that special someone. Men are planning to propose or say ‘I Love You’ for the first time, women are getting their hair, nails and eyebrows prepped. It is the most romantic day of the year so it only seems appropriate to spend a little time on love spells today.

Let’s just start with the fact that you do need to be cautious when it comes to love spells, they are, unless both parties are fully open to trying it out, black magic. Love spells are best done under a growing moon, a growing moon is not when you have a full or half moon but the time in between when the moon is actually growing or shrinking. You must also remember to not become obsessed, obsession is a strong form of black magic and can become scary and dangerous, remain calm and relaxed, not obsessed. And keep it to yourself, it’s not like whey you had a crush on Daniel down the street as a kid and you told all your girlfriends, the less that know about your spell the better.

A love spell is a form of energy influence on one person meant to excite their emotional and physical attraction to another person. It is meant to inspire that person to have feelings of love for you. There is a love knot spell, for this you need3 pieces of rope in romantic colors, (pink for love, red for passion and white for purity) tie a knot at one end and form a braid visualizing your love, and chanting ‘Bring me love’ continue tying knots and then more braids till you have made 7 knots.

Lots of love spells are done with the use of candles just like this one, a candle spell to bring back a lost love. Carve your lost loves name lengthwise onto a virgin red candle stopping 1” from base; massage your candle using virgin olive oil and place on a candle holder. Place 7 pins into the letters of their name, light the candle and imagine them coming to you, concentrate very hard on that image and chant this spell 3 times.

Powers of the universe
Bring (their name) back to me
This is my will
So mote it be

As the candle burns your love will have good thoughts of you with each pin it hits.

So that’s it, a few basic love spells, now if you are really interesting in finding love why not try calling a love psychic, the moon is growing right now!!

The Year of the Horse

C-Horse1-2014A

Today, January 31st, 2014, is Chinese New Year, the Year of the Horse, so let’s find out what this year and especially those born in the Year of the Horse, has in store for us. The horse is known by the Chinese people to be energetic, lively, kind-hearted, and brilliant.

Strengths of Those Born in the Year of the Horse

    • The people born in the year of the horse are extremely creative especially in their communication skills and in their home city relations. They are kind to those around them and want to be involved in many tasks available to them. They are happy, talented, and sensitive.  They are loved by friends and family, important and helpful at work and are never ok with failing or giving up!

Weaknesses of Those Born in the Year of the Horse

    • Those born in the year of the horse don’t like limitations, they can be impatient, and they are independent, which is a good thing till their independence makes it so they do not want to take advice from those around them. They are also spenders, making them quite wasteful, they are more concerned with making themselves happy and buying things for that purpose than saving and being thrifty.

For this year for those born under the year of a horse now or past this looks like it may be a rough year for you, not deviating but not the easiest. The good news is that it looks like you are expected to find a love partner this year and if you already are in a romantic relationship than maybe it is the year for your relationship to grow even stronger. Just keep in mind for it to be a slow gradual relationship so try, and I know this can be hard for you, to not become overly aggressive about making or keeping relationships this year, let it flow naturally and you should enjoy the outcome.

Best Love Matches for the Horse

    • Dog
    • Tiger
    • Snake

Least Compatible for the Horse

    • Rat
    • Monkey

Your health looks pretty good for the year ahead just watch your own 2 feet towards the fall and winter for accidents or injuries. As far as cash flow goes it can be a great one for you, if you watch your wallet a bit, you do tend to be a spender and if you stop silly spending and don’t take unnecessary financial risks you should come out on top this year.

The History of the Chinese Zodiac

chzodiac

The Chinese Zodiac is made up of 12 animals, and unlike Astrology where each month is a different Zodiac in the Chinese Zodiac it is each year is a different Zodiac. It is uncertain as to where the exact origins and the exact time that this Zodiac was created but it is believed to have been during the 5th Century B.C. This zodiac is used to determining ones birth year not birth month, it is calculated by a cycle of 60 years where every animal is a different year and after 12 years the process repeats itself.

There is a story that goes with the Chinese Zodiac, I believe it goes like this (and I say I believe because it has changed a bit from person to person who says the story): The Jade Emperor summoned all the animals of the universe for a race, the 12 animals who showed up would be the symbol of the zodiac. The order of which animal came in first to last would decide the order the zodiac would be in.

This race was not done with full honesty from all the animals though, some stayed true to themselves and even helped others while others got ahead by tricking others. It is said that the rat won only by riding on the back of the ox who placed 2nd, and the snake, knowing that horses are afraid of snakes, hid on the hoof of the horse to cross the river and then once across he scared the horse to come in just before him. Where the dragon, who came in 5th should have won the race as he could fly but he derailed from the race several times to help villagers who were caught in a flood nearby and even helped the rabbit, who ended up beating him in the race, get across the river.

Here is the order and years of the Chinese Zodiac:

      1. Rat: 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020
      2. Ox: 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021
      3. Tiger: 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022
      4. Rabbit: 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023
      5. Dragon: 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024
      6. Snake: 1989, 2001, 2013, 2025
      7. Horse: 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014
      8. Ram: 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015
      9. Monkey: 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016
      10. Chicken: 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017
      11. Dog: 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018
      12. Pig: 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019

So what year were you born?
